Overview:
Designing electrical circuits and systems
consisting of instrumentation, high voltage,
power, and control system designs for use in
large scale capital equipment. Projects will
include New Product Development and Continuous
Improvement, and will be a team approach with
Mechanical, Software, and other Electrical
Engineers.
Responsibilities:
-
Ability to execute all
project phases from conceptual designs
through detailed design, prototype part
procurement, development test, reliability
test, and release to manufacturing.

Ability to deliver technical
presentations in support of product
proposals and engineering design reviews.

Ability to mentor junior
engineers.
-
System level design to
integrate instrumentation, controllers and
power supplies into major machine level
assemblies.
-
Circuit design of analog,
digital and FPGA circuits for printed
circuit boards to interface to
instrumentation, hi voltage power supplies,
and motion control systems.
-
Knowledge of grounding and
shielding techniques
-
Power Distribution and System
Interlock Design
-
Packaging of custom VSEA or
off the shelf components into modular
chassis.

Cable and harness design
-
Development, System, and
Reliability Test of circuit boards,
controllers, and electro-mechanical
assemblies.
-
Ability to evaluate system
designs for cost and manufacturability
performance targets.
Qualifications:
-
Analog and digital circuit
design.
-
High voltage design.
-
Power distribution design.
-
Circuit analysis software
experience.
-
High Level digital design
language (Verilog, VHDL).
-
Laboratory instrumentation
(Oscilloscopes, Logic/Timing Analyzers,
DVM’s) experience.
-
LabView Software.
-
Control Loop Analysis
(stability, gain and phase margin).
-
Robotics experience (motors,
encoders, amplifiers, motor tuning).
Requirements:
-
BSEE or equivalent with a
minimum of 7 years related experience.

Proficiency with schematic
capture packages (IE: ViewLogic, Pro
Diagram)

Proficiency with MS Office
-
Limited travel within the US,
Asia, and Europe
