HVS Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of all activities associated with pro-active, ongoing continuous improvement related processes, as they relate to manufacturing/industrial engineering support of operations, including HVS (High Velocity System) applications, with the implemented activities resulting in reduction of cost that meets company goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the overall development, administration, and implementation of business process improvements, utilizing industrial manufacturing solutions, as they relate to pro-active cost reduction activities, ensuring the optimum utilization and efficiency of the manufacturing process.

  • Identify, analyze, recommend, and develop engineered solutions to improve quality, efficiency, utilization, and associate well-being for existing and new processes, focusing on improvement of molds, molding processes (utilizing cavity pressure technology), end of arm tooling, automation, gauging, work methods, packaging, and systems flow, resulting in elimination of waste and reduction of overall cost.  

  • Coordinate and direct efforts in issuing program/project-tracking mechanisms, i.e. Gantt charts, flow charts, ROI’s, or other reports as required, on identified and approved projects.

  • Manage, direct, and coordinate activities to assure programs/projects remain on schedule, take steps as needed to restore program/project to a schedule that meets company objectives.

  • Research, target, plan, coordinate, and recommend to management new innovative technologies, which champion unique market competitiveness, performance, and continuous improvement processes.

  • Ensure program/project adherence to safety regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in and offer engineering support of operations material review board meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Plastics Engineering or related field and/or minimum 10 years experience in injection molding; or equivalent combination of education and experience
