Position Description

The Leadership Consultant/ Coach role provides delivery of Leadership Consulting services for the region as well as sales and marketing support, and direct sales.  The percentage time split is approximately 30% sales and 70% delivery and corporate support.

The LCC reports directly to the Regional Director of Leadership Consulting and works under the guidance of the Regional Leadership Specialist.

Responsibilities

Sales (30%)

  • Generates LC sales revenue from new and existing accounts within assigned region

  • Promotes awareness and participates in marketing events about Leadership Consulting Services

  • Assumes the role of LC subject matter expert in the sales process

  • Assists sales within the region by providing sales advice and coaching to VPBD and Sales Managers.

Delivery & Corporate Support (70%)

  • Participates in the interview and selection process of all new coaches and consultants

  • Brings field experience, the understanding of customer needs and best practice information  when providing input into LC methodology and service offerings, participating in global conference calls and action teams, and recommending ways to continually enhance internal infrastructure

  • Delivers executive coaching or leadership consulting services to clients per client need across New England with consistent credibility

  • Ensures exceptional client satisfaction by participating in the solution design and selection of resources, and maintaining relationships with the client and coach or delivery team throughout the course of the engagement

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to identify organizational/leadership development needs and develop winning solutions at the enterprise, group, and individual level. Track record of creating client solutions and creative interventions at the individual, team and organizational level.

  • Experience in the design of leadership development programs and processes and in conducting needs assessments to identify and diagnose gaps in leadership, team and organizational effectiveness

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with new and existing clients, and internal colleagues  

  • Strong sales abilities to align our client’s offerings and resources; to build client centered value propositions, to position our client effectively and create strong proposals and bring solutions to a successful close.

  • 5-7 years delivering leadership development/coaching/consulting solutions internally or as an external consultant; knowledgeable of current trends and thought leadership, and considered a subject matter expert in one or more related areas. Top consulting firm experience highly preferred

  • Ability to generate sophisticated proposals that demonstrate an understanding of client problems and describe proposed solutions that address buyer preferences and overall value which differentiates our client.

  • Ability to develop project plans and define resource requirements and create designs which align with client needs.

  • Influential and engaging when interacting with business line leaders and senior level HR

  • Conveys confidence and maturity; quickly establishes credibility when representing our client to customers and internally

  • Team driven and strong ability to achieve results through influence

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for leadership development

  • High level of integrity and customer-focus

  • Must have PowerPoint and Word ability to create presentations and proposals

  • Strong executive presence, strong presentation and writing skills are critical

  • Ability to travel as needed within specified territory

Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree (Masters Degree plus Bachelors degree) in Behavioral Science, Industrial, Organizational, Consulting or Counseling Psychology

  • License eligible in Psychology preferred

  • Experience in consulting and able to show case studies, presentations and examples of interventions

  • Work experience in top consulting firms, 5-7 years

  • Track record of selling consulting and client references demonstrating client satisfaction for consulting and coaching delivery
