Senior Mechanical Test Technician Engineer

Description of the Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform tests using Instron servohydraulic test frames.

  • With very limited guidance, will perform engineering duties associated with the testing of implant and instrument systems

  • Develop test protocols per ASTM (and other standards) and create test reports

  • Participate on research & development programs that could involve multiple interfaces internal and external to the company

  • Responsible for developing test fixtures, managing general lab supplies, and maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.

Job Qualifications (Experience & Education):

  • At least 3-5 years performing tests on multi-axis Instron servohydraulic (or equivalent) test frames

  • Should have medical device testing experience

  • Ability to develop mechanical test protocols and conduct testing

  • Understanding of Spine ASTM standards (F1717, F1798, F2077, F2267, etc) is desired

  • Should be a creative thinker and a good problem solver

  • Should have experience participating on development and/or research programs

Education: (One of the following)

  • B.S. Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering

  • M.S. Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
