Working in
the New Product Development Group under the direction of the
Director of Engineering, the Senior Project Electrical
Engineer will be responsible for the design and development
of the electronics and associated firmware for our
transducers and instrumentation in our Franklin, MA
facility.
Our client
is a leading global supplier of software and highly
engineered test, measurement and control products utilized
in the manufacturing process of rubber and polymers. The
company serves a diverse group of customers throughout the
world, including OEM’s, distributors and end users. Our
client’s is headquartered in Franklin, Massachusetts, with
facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and
Malaysia.
The person
we seek must have the following background and
qualifications:

BS in
Electrical Engineering (MS preferred.)

Must
have at least 5 years of experience in analog/digital
circuits, microcontrollers, embedded software
development, and programmable logic devices.

Experience with sensor technology is a plus.

Experience with circuit simulation tools, schematic
capture tools, PCB design and electronics packaging.

Experience with field bus standards (e.g. CAN, DeviceNet,
Foundation Fieldbus, ProfiBus, HART, etc.) is a plus.

Software/firmware development (e.g. C, C++, VisualBasic,
etc.) of applications for the Windows-based PC is a
plus.

Capable
of managing design process from concept through release
of complete packages for assembly internally or
externally in a timely fashion.

Ability
to work within specific time frames and cost
parameters. Capable of evaluating design alternatives
required to achieve defined cost and performance
targets. Ability to anticipate and mitigate technical
risk throughout the product development process.

Strong
analytical skills as well as excellent written and
verbal communications skills.

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
