The Group Account Director draws on industry and agency
experience to manage all aspects of the client/agency
relationship with his/her designated account(s) and the
client services team assigned to those account(s).
Purpose
of the Role
To ensure
that his/her clients continually receive superior service,
thinking and quality and that strategy, planning, programs,
tactics, budgets, schedules, creative, documentation and
account profitability stay on track. Sets an example for
junior staffers and fosters a culture of excellence in
service, thinking and execution.
Key Responsibilities

Work with clients to manage the brand and brand activities

Steward brand through client’s organization and agency

Effectively motivate Creative, Creative Services, and other
departments, eliciting the groups’ best efforts in a
positive, cooperative way and driving the teams toward a
shared goal for each client

Maintain and expand on a solid track record of mentoring and
developing staff members

high level of strategic and tactical prowess

Identify cogent business issues and plan for, manage and facilitate
brainstorming sessions that allow for continuous program
and tactical recommendations that help to drive client’s
business forward

Understand the broad array of marketing channels and tactics
available to clients

Estimate/guide estimating by more junior staff and forecast
accurately, and proactively manage time used by the team

Surface issues and work with colleagues to resolve before there is a
major client impact

Regularly surface business opportunities within the assigned
account, and beyond the assigned account at current
clients
Requirements

years of small- or mid-sized pharmaceutical marketing
experience
