Opportunity to develop and implement programs with Ambulatory Service
Leadership in Surgical Ambulatory Clinics for the Department
of Patient Services/Nursing, which are congruent with the
mission and values of our client under the direction of the
Director for Surgical Programs.
Surgical Services are comprised of the following departments: General
Surgery, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics/Sports Medicine,
Plastic Surgery, Urology, Dentistry, Coordinated Specialty
Programs, and Advanced Fetal Care Center. This position
provides visionary leadership to clinical staff and
interdisciplinary teams which ultimately serves to advantage
patients and families. The nursing staff in these
departments will be direct reports to this position. Also,
to collaborate with Ambulatory Services leadership staff,
management and physician colleagues to achieve programmatic
goals.
The role requires the synthesis of:

expert clinical/management knowledge and clinical
practice to remain current in the discipline of nursing
and management

Provide leadership for the development of and /or
participation in studies, research, publications and
public presentations

Lead individuals and work groups to continuously improve
performance by creating an environment that ensures
application of quality principles and techniques to
achieve desired outcomes

Work closely with Surgical Inpatient Leadership staff in
designing and implementing new initiatives/projects.
Requires the knowledge of:
-
Theories, principles and concepts typically acquired
through completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing or
Health Care Administration and Bachelor’s Degree in
Nursing
-
6 to 7 years of experience in a leadership/managerial
position required.
