Our client
has a great opportunity for a Physician Assistant who is
interested in working in a dynamic world renowned academic
institution. The position is multifaceted and includes
outpatient clinic care, emergency room orthopedic coverage,
inpatient care and rotating to satellites, i.e. Waltham.
They are seeking a candidate with excellent clinical
assessment skills including history taking, physical
examination and urgent evaluation of children with acute and
chronic orthopedic conditions. Pre and post-op assessments
are necessary as well as facilitation of daytime ER consults
including admissions, casting and closed reductions. The
inpatient role includes inpatient care, discharge planning
and facilitating post-op follow ups. Solid communication,
triage assessment and clinical judgment are required. Proven
ability to work in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons,
nurses, mid level providers and ambulatory staff is
essential. The successful candidate will be involved in
scholarly activities including development of educational
material, performance improvement projects, research and
lectures.

note that a current license from the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant is
required for this position.*
This
position requires a compressed work week consisting of 10
hour shifts (40 hr/wk) including Saturday or Sunday
rotations. Prior clinical experience is preferred however,
recent graduates will be considered.
