The Plastic
and Oral Surgery Department seeks a reliable and dedicated
individual to support its seven Surgeons. The PA will split
time between the various clinics for the Department,
including Peabody and Lexington, but mainly in the Boston
and Waltham locations.
This PA
position requires a dynamic individual who is interested in,
and who has experience working, within both the clinical and
the operating environment. The PA will spend roughly half of
the time in each setting while supporting the Department’s
seven Surgeons.
The ideal
candidate should possess experience in the clinical and OR
settings as well as a strong interest and understanding of
the Plastic and Oral Surgeries disciplines. Candidates
specifically interested in working in an academic hospital
setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:

Provide
comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all
ages and with all types of conditions.

Elicit
histories, perform examinations, perform and interpret
diagnostic studies.

Perform
therapeutic procedures, instruct and counsel patients
regarding physical and mental health issues.

Respond
to life-threatening situations, and facilitate the
appropriate referral of patients, consistent with his or
her supervision physician's scope of expertise and
responsibility and delegated to him or her by the
supervision physician.
Minimum
Qualifications include:

Work
requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and
concepts typically acquired through completion of an
accredited Physician Assistant’s Program and four to
five years of previous experience.

Work
requires the analytical skills to resolve highly complex
problems requiring the application of clinical,
scientific or technical principles, theories and
concepts and in depth, cross functional experienced
based knowledge.

Work
requires communication skills to effectively deal with
conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions,
or well developed writing skills.
*Please note
that a current license from the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant is
required for this position.*
Full Time -
40 Hours, Mon – Fri Days
