optimization, and allied fields. The new Distinguished
Member Research Staff will conduct, publish, and publicize
original research; identify and demonstrate novel
applications; recruit and supervise post-docs and interns;
and collaborate both internally and externally. The
algorithm group works closely with co-located groups doing
research in high-speed control, computation for
infrastructure, communications networks, multimedia, data
analytics, machine perception, and devices that mix
computation with novel analog physical technologies.
Successful

Our client
is the North American R&D organization of a $46B global
leader in electrical products including building systems
(elevators, HVAC), energy systems (power generation &
distribution, photovoltaics), space systems (satellites,
telescopes), factory automation (robot manipulators, servo
systems), automotive electronics (multimedia, car
mechatronics) and visual information systems (arena
displays, televisions). Researchers work on
industrially-motivated fundamental problems, and collaborate
with corporate R&D laboratories, business units in Japan
and academic partners around the world to create new
technologies and to develop technologies that extend the
performance envelope of these systems.
