The individual in this position will be responsible for carrying out all engineering functions necessary for developing marketable products for the Broadband/Components Business Unit, part of our client’s Multi-Market Product Group. These will include specification, design, layout, and verification of product, as well as close cooperation with product management and application engineering. Candidate must be able to operate under minimum supervision, and show a high degree of initiative.

Essential Functions:

• RFIC product development from concept to production.
• Design, layout and test Broadband GaAs RFIC’s.
• Should be familiar with RF/analog circuit design of GaAs FET or HBT technologies and be proficient with design software. 
• Should have an understanding of characterization and measurement techniques of Broadband RF amplifiers.

Job Requirements:

• MSEE or equivalent is required (PHD preferred).
• Must have RFIC design experience.  We would prefer at least 10 years of related experience in Broadband RF amplifier design. 
• Proficient using CAD tools such as Cadence Analog Design Environment or Agilent’s ADS.
• Experience with RF/analog IC and PCB characterization techniques, such as s-parameters, noise parameters, load-pull and broadband linearity measurements.
• Experience with test equipment spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, noise figure meters.
• Module design experience is a plus.
• Must have good organization, communication skills
