Medical Vice President of Finance and Information Technology

Role
The Medical Vice President of Finance and Information Technology will provide financial leadership and control for the company during a period of rapid growth, including acquisitions.  They will lead IT initiatives for the company and contracted services from the parent company and be Business Partner to the President and Leadership Team to influence and drive sound business decisions.  They will be a member of the Leadership Team with responsibility for setting direction and managing performance of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Drive budget and forecasting process and performance to the plan
  • Direct all financial activities and manage Finance staff
  • Oversee due diligence activities associated with potential investments
  • Manage Capital Expenditure process
  • Establish process to provide customer, product, and segment profitability analysis and work with the sales and marketing team on pricing strategy
  • Negotiate major customer and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and appropriate auditing
  • Recommend and lead IT initiatives to improve business performance.
  • Lead cross functional teams in the implementation of IT initiatives e.g. Manufacturing Execution System
  • Represent NP Medical in Financial and IT planning and projects
  • Oversee Finance and IT services contracted
  • Coach and educate the extended leadership team in financial acumen

Requirements

  • Strong experience in manufacturing environments is a must
  • Experience implementing activity based costing processes to understand “true” profitability by product and customer vs. “standard” cost.
  • 10 – 15 years experience in Finance with increasing responsibilities, including financial planning and accounting
  • Proven ability to negotiate critical and complex business deals in contracts, partnerships and acquisitions
  • Strategic, business-minded and forward thinking leader
  • Track record of success as a business partner with Engineering and Manufacturing businesses
  • Systems/Information Technology acumen and experience
  • Team Player open to giving and receiving feedback and creating collaborative teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and  change leader
  • Able to rapidly perform complex analysis with a process and data driven focus to identify analytical implications and key trends
  • Advanced graduate degree preferred (CPA, MBA)
