Purpose of the Role

To ensure that clients continually receive superior service and program implementation and that programs, tactics, budgets, schedules, creative and documentation stay on track. Account Supervisors set an example for junior staff and foster a culture of excellence in service, thinking and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Providing clients expert implementation of programs on specified accounts. This includes:

    • Working independently with some supervision

    • Maintaining strategic understanding of the client’s business by reading clinical studies and trade publications, and attending trade shows and meetings with clients

    • Regularly turning brand challenges into opportunities

    • Handling large, complex projects

    • Originating Creative Briefs that clearly direct and powerfully inspire outstanding creative executions

    • Monitoring competitive promotional initiatives and providing analysis and points-of-view

    • Independently troubleshooting project obstacles and challenges

    • Effectively interacting with clients, taking direction and writing up accurate contact reports

    • Recommending ways to improve work and efficiencies

    • Responding to internal and external requests promptly and appropriately

    • Running day-to-day client meetings with oversight

    • Writing and presenting tactical plans, budgets and timelines to client

    • Completing initial drafts of strategic plans

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience; at least 2 years in an agency

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with clients

  • Demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly with strong ability to understand new information, new products, and new programs and situations

  • Demonstrated ability in solving challenging budget issues with ease

  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to create estimates and monitor budgets and financial reports independently

  • Possession of a strong understanding of the client planning cycle

  • Possession of good judgment

  • Strong writing skills

  • Creative problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in creating reports and analyzing data using financial software
