Our
client, a division of a leading global healthcare products
company, specializes in medical devices and procedures for
vascular therapies. We are assisting them in their search
to fill a new role of Senior Product Manager, US Marketing.
Summary of
Position:
Reporting
to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Product Manager
supervises an Associate Product Manager and is responsible
for the coordination, direction, and management of key
product marketing strategies and initiatives. Product
marketing responsibilities include product launch planning,
sales force training, forecasting and life cycle
management. Strengthening the brand awareness and
positioning of ClosureFast will be critical as competition
grows in the space. Strategic integration with Market and
Practice Development initiatives will also be important.
Scope of
Duties/Job Description:

Provide both a tactical and strategic vision for the
existing CVI product line
-
Reposition and rebrand Closure/RF in the eyes of
physicians and patients to differentiate from laser
-
Develop physician and account segmentation tools to
appropriately target marketing and sales efforts with
measurable results
-
Formulate strategy for the families of CVI products at
their various life-cycle stages, and execute on this
plan
-
Create
and execute on the annual budget, factoring in product
promotion programs, etc. These metrics are to be
analyzed throughout the year and adjusted accordingly.

Coordination, management, and execution of various
programs during the product life cycle including product
launch, promotion, forecasting, and life cycle
management
-
Understand the existing marketplace and dynamics within
the market and provide strategic vision to the sales
team and senior management.

Responsible for keeping current with changing
competitive landscape (new products, techniques,
clinical papers, reimbursement changes, etc.) and using
this knowledge to educate the sales team on how to
effectively combat competitive threats to capture
additional market share.

Continuously initiate communication with the various
functional areas of the company (Sales, R&D,
Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory, and Clinical) making sure
that they are made aware of existing product performance
issues in the field, and also to be the conduit to the
sales team regarding implementation of programs from
these departments effecting the marketplace.

Provide clear direction and vision to ensure that all
product promotional materials created for our customers
are consistent in terms of messaging, image, etc.

Key
Opinion Leader (KOL) development and support
-
Manage
the efforts of the Product Management Team regarding the
creation of materials insuring that materials are
created that are accurate, appropriate, and timely with
clear and concise objectives; and monitoring the ROI of
various programs.

Obtain
a thorough understanding of the customer base through
travel with sales team, customer visits, trade show
attendance, and other forms of communication. This will
help to understand the spectrum of end users both
current customers and competitive users.
Minimum
Requirements:
-
Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Sciences or
Engineering, or equivalent work experience. MBA
preferred, with engineering or science undergraduate
degree.

Minimum 5 years of product management experience in a
medical device industry or equivalent work experience.
Sales experience with interventional medical devices a
plus.
Other
Requirements:
-
High
degree of familiarity with operating room, catheter lab
and other clinical settings.
-
Experience in working with highly technical clinical
applications and medical professionals (MD’s, RN’s
etc.).

Knowledge of vascular disease, catheter systems and
instrumentation also highly desirable.

Must
be computer skilled in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
-
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and
applicable Quality System Standards.
