Patient Services Administrator, Gastroenterology Procedure Unit

Our client’s Gastroenterology Procedure Unit (GPU) is seeking an experienced manager to oversee their administrative procedures, budgets, billing and compliance with hospital, state, federal and regulatory policies and procedures.  In addition, there is a large amount of data collection, analysis, reporting and submission of information to these regulatory agencies and hospital personnel as required.  This individual would work with the Medical Director and Nurse Manager in planning, implementing and directing programs within the department and report to the Nurse Director.  The administrative staff includes 3 full time members.  The selected candidate will work predominantly Monday through Friday with a 24 hour, 7 days per week accountability.

This position requires an individual who exemplifies diligence, appropriate managerial experience, strength and compassion. The successful candidate must have strong organizational, operational and customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a great sense of urgency, attention to detail, proficiency with information technology and the usage of clinical systems and programs are necessary.  The individual will be a leader, yet also effectively participate as part of a team.
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field required, Master’s degree strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with Gastroenterology Procedures and its Billing, Coding and Regulatory compliance required.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare/hospital setting required and a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience sought.
